The Yellow River Festival is celebrating its 13th year in 2019 and will take place at River Park Square on the Yellow River in downtown Plymouth. The festival's closest neighbor is Farmer's Market which is open Saturday mornings. The festival was started at the suggestion of Mayor Gary Cook. In its start, it was only a one-day event with a parade, and it has since grown to a two-day event. The festival has seen over 4,000 visitors in recent years and continues to grow. It is always held the first weekend in June.
